Looking for office space this morning. I think we might have found something finally. It's reasonable, lots of space and already has a T1 connection from the street.
Well hurricane Debbie is on her way. We're not expecting too much, but you never know. We'll be battening down the hatches here in a bit. I bet she's just going to give us a big wet kiss and nothing more. Olaia's excited though. I just hope we don't lose electricty, there's nothing worse than hot muggy nights with no air conditioning.
Latest Update: Well nothing happened. We got some rain, but in the end the hurricane passed us to the north. Well, now we just to contend with 3 days of torrential rains. *sigh*
I just got back from annual training. We spent 2 weeks in an desert area of Puerto Rico called Salinas. It was hot, dry, and dusty. You wouldn't expect a full fledged desert on a tropical island, but there it was. I found it to be very beautiful and interesting, something about the rugged southern California style landscape gave it an otherworldly feel.
When I went, I wasn't expecting much of the experience, but it turned out to be a great time. I got to know some of my fellow officers a bit better and we ended up being a tight group. Whenever one of us is around, people always ask where the other 3 amigos are. Hehe. We've taken to attempting to arrive at meetings in seperate vehicles and at different times so at least people won't think that 4 officers do the work of about one and a half. That's our little joke. Here's a picture of most of the guys from our section.

Olaia: I can't help it if I'm beautiful
Today in mass Olaia did the cutest thing. She ran around giving "peace" to everybody. During communion she reached out to somebody and said "la paz," which means "peace." Then she had to stop and shake hands with everyone. It was a great father's day gift. I don't think I could have received anything better.
Olaia's new phrase for wanting to get our of her high chair or car seat is, "Up again, up again, up again, up again!!!!." Just like that. I don't know where she got it, but it's so funny. I'm starting to see her verbal personality coming through. It's hard to explain, but when she speaks so clearly, it's almost as if I can see really see her.
It's hot as hell here. I'm dyin'. I swear it's a million degrees here with humidity to match. Uunghgh.
